Speaker Bio
Brenton Sizwe Zola creates experiences where people can tell the truth—and recognize themselves in one another. A first-generation Congolese American performance artist and facilitator, his work draws on experiences of childhood homelessness, global travel, and a lineage of African spiritual leaders. Across more than a decade and a thousand improvised performances, he has used storytelling, movement, and live composition to transform individual experience into collective meaning for audiences worldwide. His performances have been featured at the United Nations, MoMA, the Norman Rockwell Museum, the College of Extraordinary Experiences, the Aspen Institute and more. He has also worked extensively across the Global South, advocating for human rights and ecosystem conservation.
